About your aapc orlando chapter
Orlando, Florida's local chapter of the AAPC prides itself on offering quality education and networking opportunities for our members and those in the central Florida area. With 1,600+ members, we offer connections with meetings, workshops, certification review classes, and special events.
The Orlando AAPC Chapter was founded by a handful of certified professional coders on January 1, 1998. These coders recognized the need for a chapter to support other coders within the Central Florida area. Among the pioneers for this chapter is our very own 2018 Orlando Chapter President, Marsha Diamond. Early members will remember meeting at Florida Hospital on Rollins Avenue. Others will remember "standing room only" meetings at Orlando Health. We spent many years at Holy Trinity Church in Maitland, Florida. Now out meetings are held at Keiser University in Orlando, Florida. As the years went by, growth has spurred by teachers of coding encouraging their students to attend the events and earn extra credit and many have now become members themselves. The addition of coding reviews, workshops, and other CEU opportunities provided in a fun environment helps to keep us growing today! We would like to thank all of our founding members and officers for their dedication and hard work. We would not be the chapter we are today if it was not for them. |
